Chase Mattioli and #10 Liquid Fence Hot Rod Ready to Score at Historic New Jersey Event

September 28th Race First Ever ARCA RE/MAX Road Course Event in New Jersey

(Nashville, TN - September 24, 2008) – This Sunday, 18-year-old ARCA RE/MAX and NASCAR Camping World rookie driver Chase Mattioli will make history in Millville, New Jersey in his #10 Team Liquid Fence / Milazzo Industries / A & A Auto Stores Chevrolet. The race will mark the first time ARCA RE/MAX has ever brought its series to a road course in the state.

This season, Mattioli has competed in a limited number of ARCA-RE/MAX and NASCAR Camping World events under the tutelage of Andy Hillenburg. Hillenburg compares Mattioli's progress this season to his past protégée, Chad McCumbee, who is now driving for Petty Enterprises.

To date, Mattioli has participated eight events with his best finishes a 12th place finish at Salem, Indiana (ARCA-RE/MAX, April 13th), 14th at Nashville, Tennessee (NASCAR Camping World, July 17th) and 16th at Pocono, Pennsylvania (ARCA-RE/MAX), leading 4 laps at his family’s super speedway. Given his road racing experience, the team is shooting for a top 10 finish.

His first experience on a road course came when he was only 16, where in the course of five days at Virginian International Raceway (VIR) took a beginners school, an advance school and compete in and won his first road race.

At age 17 Mattioli campaigned a Formula Ford in SCCA regional and national events including events at Road Atlanta (qualified 5th out of 15 and finished 5th) and Loudon, New Hampshire (won the pole and posted two 2nd place finishes). Later that year he had the opportunity to test a GT Mustang with Elliott Forbes-Robinson at VIR and with James Gue at Pocono.

Prior to that, at age 7, he was driving 1/4 midgets, before progressing to Legacy Cars, Legends and Super Trucks.

This weekend's race will mark the last time he races as an 18-year-old. He will turn 19 on October 6th.

Mattioli is scheduled to compete in one last race this year after Millville, the ARCA RE/MAX finale on October 12th, in Toledo, Ohio (Speed Channel live).

Last month, Mattioli began his freshman year at Fordham University in New York City, majoring in marketing.
